The MCA a co-educational programme endeavours to impart quality education to students especially in relation to new ideas and innovations taking place in the rapidly evolving technology sector. The programme is designed to hone students’ logical, creative and analytical skills, and help enhance the ability to identify, critically analyze and develop effective computer applications.
The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology was established in the year 1998. The department aims at ingraining the spirit of ingenuity, innovativeness, and technical proficiency in the students through regular guidance and rigorous practice. Apart from teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels, the faculty is also involved in research, consultancy, and developing software.
Since 2007, the department has its own Board of Studies, for framing the curriculum. The suggestions from the staff, students, academic peers and subject experts are reviewed and updated regularly and new programmes are introduced with the approval of the BOS.
To promote research, Ph.D. and M.Phil. programmes were introduced from the year 2010. Admissions for the same are held through an annual entrance test (RET) conducted by The IIS University.
The university plans to launch Cisco Certified Networking Administrator Course in collaboration with Cisco Networking Academy by the beginning of session 2012-2013.
